No, I'm not a mechanophile, but I do love this car.
p.s.: ignore the tape around the windshield. It keeps the inside of the car dry.

Umm...shouldn't properly installing the windshield handle that part for you?

It's the screw holes for the trip clips. I tried putting silicone around the clips, but it didn't help. I need to replace the windshield anyways, but I also want a flush-mount windshield. There's no reputable kits out there that I've found yet, so maybe I'll just put sealant on the screws or something.

It's okay, man. You don't have to hide from us. Mechanophiles are welcome here.

If you think it's difficult to find proper stuff for yours...I sure as hell better never have a windshield issue.

There's lots of stuff for installing a windshield, just nothing that gets rid of the trim for a modern flush-mount style.

The windshield sealant just doesn't cover the trim clip screw holes. It only seals the weatherstripping to the body and the glass. I've tried putting silicone around the trim, but it hasn't done much good.
